Maya and the Seven Limbs is a children’s character development book comprised of 7 stories, each of which was written by a Muslim family. Each story is a tale about how Maya gets closer to God through a lesson learned with one of her limbs. As Cat explains, our limbs are connected to our spiritual heart – the place inside each of us that God shines through. The state of one’s spiritual heart – who one really is – is directly impacted by the things one does with the limbs. If one does bad things with them, one’s heart can get covered with dust, making it dark and dull. On the other hand, doing good things with one’s limbs polishes away these dusty covers. Having a clean heart is what true success in life is all about.
