Isha Hammad is an Islamic Psychology Research Fellow at the Alkaram Institute and a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is studying Educational Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a certificate in African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Isha’s interests include Islamic views of education and psychology and how these are interrelated and can inform areas such as social, emotional, and spiritual learning and development of children and adolescents. She is also interested in matters of inequity in education and the ways that social, emotional, and spiritual learning could be applied to alleviate those issues.
