About

The Alkaram Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit research and educational institution dedicated to advancing Islamic psychology to benefit society and improve lives. We do this by conducting research, publishing scholarly works, and offering educational programs. Alkaram is an Arabic word that means generosity and is one of the core values of the institution.

Our longer-term goal is to become the first Muslim graduate school of psychology in the United States – an accredited degree granting institution of higher education that trains tomorrow’s Muslim professionals in research and applied domains of psychology at both masters and doctoral levels.
